While you guys may hate me for it, instead of paying almost 300 dollars for a Streamlight TLR2G Green Laser Sight & Weapon Light, I bought a overseas import imitation for about 20% of that. It worked great, the flashlight was definitely bright enough and the laser held zero, but I did have one problem. Even using a full size Springfield XDm in 9mm, the recoil of the first shot tended to turn off the switch. This was really bothering me and making me consider whether or not I would actually use this on my nightstand pistol. I tried modifying the switch to no avail, but then I noticed how the design was so similar to the TLR-1 from Streamlight, that the switch might even be compatible. Given that the whole switch mechanism is inside the battery cover, replacing the battery cover would solve my problem. Once I received it, I simply replaced it with no modifications necessary, even conserving the waterproofness. It's sadly obvious how much of a rip off it is when the replacement parts are compatible, but on the other hand it is also understandable that not everybody can nor wants to pay, in some cases, as much or more as a pistol for a simple accessory. Whether or nor you agree with that, I hope many will agree that the money saved on the light, which I don't consider my self to depend on, is better spent on ammo for more time behind the trigger. In any case, I just wanted to let people potentially in my same situation know that this might solve their problem.

Great fit for my older TRL— 1 game spotter and it’s a little slimmer. Fast shipping as well

Battery door is REALLY poor design. Flimsy plastic tabs crack when you attempt to lock door closed. Replacement door fo $17 does not inlude latch pin, you have to disassemble old broken door to salvage pin. Huge excess pressure on batteries, door and latch tabs.
