The front takedown pins wouldn’t fit in either Aero receiver I have. One is a “Tacoma” series and the other is regular. Everything else is fine

Nicely made parts, basic ambi safety, nice take down pins, just a real nice kit. Most of my builds are just my favorite parts. This kit provides parts good enough I don’t immediately want to upgrade.

I was interested in a kit that included an enhanced bolt catch and ambi safety as the proximity to ar maglocks kingpin makes hitting the left side safety unwieldy for me.To me the strike safety has a nicer operation than my radian talon. It also has a much sharper ridge than the radian which may help with traction but it is noticeably sharper. That extra traction did make using the left side with my thumb easier so comfort aside I’ll call that a pro.I had read that the kits pivot and takedown pins would fit will with the aero m5 lower and it did. The pivot pin is noticeably stiffer to operate initially but I think it’s already eased just a bit. It protrudes just the right amount on the left side of what I had read was the wider Aero m5 lower.

I bought this kit because it has a good set of attachment pins, double-sided safety releases, and no trigger. That way I can choose any trigger set I won't or use one I already have.

I built an AR15 with a Strike Industries parts kit and like it quite a lot, so I felt good about using a Strike Industries LPK for an AR10 build. The AR10 build went together well until I tried to attach the upper and lower. The distance between the detent and the end of the front pivot pin is too long, causing it to extend about 1/32" into the channel when fully pulled out. This is just enough to prevent the upper and lower from seating. I checked a pin from CMMG I used on a previous project and can clearly see that the distance from the detent hole to the tip of the pin is clearly longer on the Strike Industries pin. It's been a week and other that the automated "We received your inquiry" response, Strike Industries has failed to respond to the issue submitted directly on their website.I'm disappointed that the part doesn't work, but it should be just a temporary delay in completing the project. I'm extremely annoyed that Strike Industries doesn't even respond. This is probably the last Strike Industries product I'll ever buy.
