I originally chose the red extension because my M4 is all black and I needed some contrast to more quickly spot the charging handle amid the all black background of the gun. It does that very well. The best feature, however is the fact that it’s longer than my original latch making it much easier to get a good purchase on the charging handle in fast order. This latch may be a small thing, but it made a big improvement to my setup. Remember to always seek any improvement to your defensive firearms, no matter how small, to help you gain the advantage in a conflict situation. Fractions of a second could mean everything.

Looking for something to jazz up the rifle, this did the trick. Strike Ind. colors are consistent between parts (I bought in RED the charging handle extension latch, forward assist, mag release button, safety lever and pivot pins). The finish is of a nice quality and they look great on the rifle. Price was good and quick shipping. Thank you very much!

I put this on a milspec charging handle and I love it. Easy to install, very effective and affordable. I have a BCM charging handle that came with another rifle that I really like but I couldn’t justify spending $50+ on a charging handle and I didn’t want to buy some no-brand Chinese junk from the gun show. This is a perfect solution, especially if you run a scope.

Lightweight, easy to install, durable, product as described and cost effective. If you’re not willing to pay for an expensive ambidextrous charging handle, this is the smart way to get the extended latch for a charging handle. All and all highly recommended.

If you don't like your milspec charging handle and you can't replace it with an upgraded one because of budget or your charging handle is proprietary, this is an amazing option. My Savage MSR 10 has a proprietary charging handle. I needed an extended latch. This one is a Great option. So much better and easy to replace. Thanks SI and OP!

Quick install on Sig 716i CH and makes chambering a round much easier with an optic. The shipping was a bit slow but everything was as described and prices were just right. Would order from OP again.
