This brake was mostly clean, (threads) with no machining marks, the surface was scratch- free. Good threads. I used two timing washers, no crush washer I believe it provided 50% reduction in felt recoil, 80% reduction in muzzle rise. I recommend s a lower-cost alternative to othe brands.
Stuffy nose –
This comp is LOUD as a heads up. Double up on ear pro and maybe don’t shoot indoors. My sinuses are clear now as a big plus.

Do not let anyone fool you: this thing will unleash a blast, and everyone will notice it, yourself included. It will feel like a cannon is going off nearby. I put the SI Oppressor on mine for when I'm shooting indoors.That said, with it off, it feels like cheating. Your recoil is almost completely eliminated. With good technique, this will let your AR feel like a laser gun.. albeit with a free flashbang on every shot. This improvement was night and day. Plus, it looks fairly slick.Not recommended for use indoors.

I bought one of these Strike Industries JComp Type 89 compensators for my 5.56 AR15, and it worked so well I ordered another one for my .308 AR10. It installed perfectly, and works just as well as my first one. Cut down felt recoil 25% or more, and it's not even very noisy, compared to others I've tried. Strike Industries makes pretty cool stuff, but this one is a hit, and it's really affordable, too. I would highly recommend to someone who wants something that actually works, and doesn't want to spend $100.00.

Nice brake. I always find it funny when folks bash products for the buyers incompetencies. In the description, it mentions that it is for .308/.762. So you know, that’s 7.62×51 NOT 7.62×39. Besides, Your issue is not the caliber, your issue is thread pitch and thread direction. Know your AK’s.
