This is one sweet scope, it gathers light very well, and was so easy to sight in. You can even see the red dot in pitch black.

Overall a great quality scope. Reticle can be seen during dusk/dim lit hours due to the tritium gas. Easy to install and just overall a great scope!Pros: Easy to see in dim lit conditions, easy to install and very tough to drops and knocks.Cons: None

Years ago when I got back from a deployment I decided to pick up an AR-15 style rifle mostly to maintain proficiency and familiarity. I bought an old school design with the carrying handle that reminded of the rifles we used when I was in the Army back in the 70's. The problem was finding a decent optic to mount on it and I tried a few things that never did the job.Now that I'm much older I find even with Rx glasses on hitting anything reliably with iron sights just isn't happening. I'm familiar with the Trijicon brand from my service experience and decided to take the plunge and buy this scope. It is definitely worth the money to me. It is designed to fit right on top of the carrying handle of my AR, the fit was pretty snug but that's a good thing as you know it's going to hold zero.Speaking of zeroing, I had to make one adjustment for windage but I did have to crank down the elevation considerably which isn't surprising given the high mounting position. Not having to mess with batteries is a bonus, the fiber optic illumination of the 'donut' is excellent and in the dark the tritium illum works great as well. Considering the track record this scope has for durability with the armed forces it should hold up to anything I'm going to throw at it.This scope (which cost more than what I paid for the rifle) has taken a gun that I never took out of the safe and made it into a 'go-to' option now the next time I need a long gun.

I was wanting the LAPD version of the sight but it sold out and did not return to market so I went with this one.(Handle mount on the M16A4.) There is a hole to use the iron sights which is good, but hardly useful so consider a 45 iron sight setup with this for closer targets. The mounting is very snug in the handle groove like it should be. Clear, gas purged, antifog, rugged. This is a "both eyes open" system so be informed before you buy. It is the real deal military grade sight but in MOA.It is for the .223 so 5.56 rounds are a bit hotter and run slightly high out of the box. I would only use it for a buffer system rifle(AR) and not a gas piston due to recoil in auto.
