There is a reason these scopes are trusted throughout the US military. After mounting and sighting in on my M4, I felt refreshed that the ACOG lived up to it’s reputation. Zeroing in was simple, target acquisition is quick, and the reticle is phenomenal in any lighting condition. At first the only con I could find was that the ACOG and my flip up sight would not both fit comfortably on the rail – but due to the fact that these optics are highly durable, require no batteries and are always ready to rock, I determined the need for the back up sight to be attached as well to be small taters. I will be purchasing more units for my other rifles.

I purchased the Trijicon Acog for my AR-15 with a 16" barrel. Don't buy this Sight if you can't shoot with both eyes open. If you can it's perfect. I also went ahead and put a Trijicon red dot on the Acog. You really can't put iron sights on with the Acog because the Acog needs to sit far back for eye relief.

I put this ACOG on a S.C.A.R. 16S. It immediately brought a balance to the rifle and good looks. I had been looking for a period correct scope for this Rifle and the ACOG was the only sensible option. The horseshoe recticle is what I think to be the best out there. I think the scope will be around after the Rifle is long gone. One tough built product.

Great scope and the horseshoe design is genius. Doesn't cover up your target. Once dialed in( easy with the durable dials that click with each turn) this is how my day went:Me, "firing at the 300 yard target"Spotter," Hit."Me, "now the 400yd target"Spotter, "Hit."Me, "let me try the 500yd target now"Spotter, "Hit."Pretty much all day hits with 62gr green tip NATO ammo. Buy this scope, it's worth every penny. Eye relief while the brochure says 1.5" I was able to see just fine at 2" and 2 1/2" so don't be intimidated if somebody says it's too short, it will not be a problem. Pros: Optic clarity, reticle design, no batteries, durability, warranty.Cons: Price, no quick release mount included, makes shooting too easy.

So for the longest time I had been running a knock off, “gun show special” ACOG on my SBR. Well I finally decided to pull the trigger and get a real ACOG, and wow. As the title says, I get it now, the difference in price, I mean. The glass is so clear, I wouldn’t know I was looking through an optic if it weren’t for the reticle. I don’t think I would want to shell out the money again, but it is one of the best optics I’ve ever used.

It may be a used and returned ACOG but it has obvious wear markings and blemish’s that I doubt came from the factory. I’m disappointed and dissatisfied. This thing is over a grand I paid for new optic not slightly used. The windage and elevation has wear and there are scuff marks on the actual body of the optic very small but still present. For the money I paid it should be brand new period… a discount is normal for used items as well as disclosure. This is the first time I’ve been dissatisfied with Optics planet. The optic itself though is excellent worth the money I would just scrutinize your item when it arrives it may be a big deal to some or no biggie to others. As much as it bothers me the return process and being without it for another week or more , trying to be home when it arrives is just a hassle that I’m unwilling to go through. I will live with the defects! You’ve been warned buyer beware.
