Scope is light and well built. Dials are easy to read and very tactile. Reticle is simple and effective. The glass is where is scope really falls short, especially at 200+ yards. Image becomes very grainy all throughout and distorted on the edges. I have had several vx-3i's that are clearer than this for a similar price. If you're just looking for a cheap close to midrange scope it would be ok, but would not recommend at all for long range shooting.

  2. Thibodaux Joe

This scope will do exactly what it was intended to do. It IS a close to mid-range scope and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. If the person is disappointed in his (or her) purchase, then I imagine Trijicon has a generous return policy.

Bought this scope from a local shop and was horribly disappointed. The clarity is terrible. Buy a Leupold vx3 instead for the same money.

(Disclaimer * I bought this optic from a different store, but I shop here often and wanted to share my experience) this scope is excellent, after using it,it definitely is of excellent trijicon quality and durability you would expect. The other reviews said it gets blurry at long ranges,so I tested this optic to see if I had the same result, here's what I found.(using the optic as a spotting scope just to test the clarity and for blurry edges)The optic is fantastic at close and medium ranges, crystal clear and not blurry, then,I looked at objects at 1000 yards, still crystal clear, just make sure you adjust the diopter until the object comes clear. Then, just to really test its clarity, I picked out a tree that was 4 to 5 miles away, once I adjusted the diopter, the tree had a very slight blurr, but still very clear, and as a note, the reticle was still good to go,not small or faded. I know no one will shoot that distance, just testing how clear it was at very extreme distances. All in all,it's a very great optic, on my 20 inch barrel ar10,it's the perfect package, light, but still has a good zoom level. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask,I'm happy to give you my advice and open to advice to!
