Trijicon CA Night Sight Sets are designed for Colt Government, Combat Elite, Delta Elite, Officers ACP, and Combat Commander automatic pistols with factory original fixed sights. The professional gun smith must use the available special Trijicon staking tool. This staking tool will fit both .125 and .055 tangwidths. Other staking tools will destroy these blades and can not be used. The .125 tang width blade can be modified by a local gun smith to .085 to fit a Springfield 1911, but other .45 brands don’t fit these blades. The Gold Cup set is a complete new adjustable sight base assembly with sapphire dots. The Gold Cup set also fits the Python and other Colt revolvers with adjustable rear blades. Bars instead of dots can be used on the revolver adjustable blades. The posts are interchangeable between rifles. An A2 post will fit on an A1 rifle. Trijicon offers a choice of illuminated dot colors, to suit individual shooter preferences. Trijicon Night Sights are available with green, yellow, and orange aiming dots. Trijicon recommends green dots because they are the brightest lamps. They are best for targets in low- and no-light shooting conditions. However, because some shooters prefer greater distinction between their front and rear sights, Trijicon also offers yellow and orange dots for rear sights. Trijicon recommends yellow over orange for the rear dots because yellow is brighter, lasts longer, and therefore carries a longer warranty. I sent the slide off my Colt 1911 to Trijicon and they installed my sight for nothing. The night sides are one of the biggest improvements I've made to my pistol. I haven't shot my pistol at night to try out the night vision feature, but I've used them extensively at the range during the day and they are great. The white circles bring the sights to life and make it very easy to zero in on the target.

I like the look these sights gave my Springfield 1911. Great price and value on Trijicons!! They were a welcomed replacement for the standard sights that came with the gun. I took them to my local gunsmith and he had them installed within 20-minutes while we chatted.Looking for another set of Trijicons for my Glock 21 now.

Can't be beat unless you want adjustable sights. Front sight requires a special tool and some filing. A little more involved than just a vice and punch. Otherwise easy install. Tool is a little pricey for one time use.

These sights do fit the Rock Island 1911's with GI style sights; not the tactical model with a dovetail front sight. You must grind out the tip of the old tenon inside the slide a bit and then pull it out from the outside with locking pliers, etc. Be careful not to grind the slide itself. Next insert the new one and carefully use a punch to peen it and then grind it flush with the slide again. The rear is a bit "crush fit" but this is intended. Just be careful with the tritium gas vials so they don't break. These sights are 10x better than GI sights! The white ring around each vial makes for a sharp contrast and quick sight alignment.Pros: They fit with marginal effortCons: Finish is lacking a bit.
