  1. Mr. Magic

This is a great riser that I use on my home defense gun, it allows me to have the same red dot that I run on my Carry pistol so that it is the same sight picture and training across both platforms. I love that it lines up with my 3X magnifier allowing me to have the option to take longer shots if need be and not have to worry about the sight picture and adjusting anything. I love how sleek it is and how it fits within the profile of my upper and does not have any places that my gear can get snagged on. The modularity of the mount allows me to use it on multiple different platforms from my shotgun to my AR and switch from one red dot to another easily knowing it will still be lined up with my 3X magnifier. Overall Troy Engineered a fantastic product that I highly recommend.

I have wanted something like this for years. Since my father bought a KSG-12 and couldn't get a sight riser to fit his sight. I love the fact that this will work on any picatinny rail, and it is easily moved from one firearm to another. I have tried the Red Dot Mount with my Vortex, Sig Romeo and they both work as promised. Because I am a strange fellow, I have tried this on my Mossberg 500, Sig Copperhead, CZ Scorpion, Personal Built AR15s (5.56 and 7.62×39) and a pre-ban M17s (the rifle not the SIG).I am really thinking about buying more of these sight mounts for my other firearms. It is easy and secure. I 100% suggest getting one if you have a red dot laying around and a 3x mag.The only problem I have is that I love the Holosun, and this red dot mount doesn't work for them. Hey Troy can you help a brother out?

  3. Slick Daddy

I bought this and a burris fastfire 3 so i could habe aight and cost effective red sot on a PCC. Lets just say, i see why its on sale for 30 dollars.Theres nothing inherently wrong with the mount, but the way the plates interface with to the mount and how the mount attaches to the gun… idk its not confidence inspiring.Firstly, there is no RMR footprint. Yeah so if you're looking for RMR compatibility, this aint it chief. Second the plates themselfs are 100 percent 3d printed and have some imperfections to them, the imperfections arent detrimental to the performance of the mount, but what is detrimental is the fact youre mounting your red dot to the platic plate, to the mount and then to the picatiny. Its just a lot of tolerance stacking tbh.For 30 dollars id say its worth it just to throw a red dot on something for cheap.

I haven’t got it mounted yet but it looks like it’s great quality. OpticsPlanet always has great prices.

  5. Claytonian

This riser was a perfect addition for my AR – but it would be great on an rail system. I love that it comes with 6 plates; it basically covers every RMR Style Red Dot model out there. For $60, you can't beat it. Simple to install and remove. High recommended!!

  6. Go4Intercept

This mount is a great budget option for raising a red dot if you are wanting to co-witness a magnifier or just want a higher eye relief from the base of the rifle. I will warn that if you have the Vortex Viper this mount will cause the battery and electronics to be exposed to the environment. Any water, dirt, or other debris can easily make its way into the base of the optic and its electronics as the mount does not actually . So only use this if the optics is fully enclosed or you plan on using it in dry clean conditions.
