Dropped right in to my PC Shield and functions great. It really upped the look of the pistol and eliminated the porting of the stock barrel. It was nice for daylight shooting but ended things quick at nite.

I have a Shield plus and it dropped right on in. Ran flawlessly. I ran range brass, hollow point defense loads and even some steel and it kept on chugging. The powder coating has a little to be desired and didn't hold up amazingly, but it did fit and run just fine. I have no idea what the other comments are saying about it not running or fitting.

I am a competition shooter and obviously I'm not shooting my shield for competition but I like to practice with it quite a bit as it is my carry weapon. I shot it. Probably 500 rounds with the stock barrel in it and then I have shot. Probably another $500 to 1,000 rounds through it with the tribe barrel through it. And I can tell you right now accuracy and precision is amped up quite a bit with the tribe parts

The CA compliant slide has a loaded chamber indicator (LCI) which also changes how the barrel and slide lock-up. These standard barrels have a rounded lockup and the LCI slides have an angular, box-shaped face. they are not compatible.Otherwise these barrels look great, I like the low-profile thread protector.
Andrew –
Thread protector worked its way off the barrel while shooting. Finish is also not great and wore through in the first range trip. Even after tightening the thread protector down, it came loose after one shot.

I really liked the barrel at first. Put in into my Gen 1 M&P Shield 9mm, great fit and finish, accurate. After the first 50 rounds I noticed that the gun would bind up when racked. pulled barrel and noticed that the lands on top of the barrel were starting to mushroom up. I figured that it came from the factory like that and maybe I didn't notice it when I installed the barrel.I took a fine file and cleaned up the burr and reinstalled the barrel. less than 100rds later the gun once again won't rack, pulled the barrel and found that the lands had mushroomed again but worse than before making the barrel unusable. The barrel is too soft and will not hold up to the abuse that a firearm puts on a barrel.
