Smaller than binoculars for the occasional need to get a closer look at something. I originally ordered the 10×25 but it was difficult to steady for a clear look. No tripod mount on the scope. I decided to get the 8×36 to let in more light and be able to keep it steady. If you want a true pants pocket size, get the 8×25 or 10×25 size.

Money well spent on this monocular. Crystal clear glass just like the other Vortex products I have purchased. Very easy to use, fits well in the hand with good texture/grip. Also came with a decent protective case but that could be improved. On top of it all is Vortex warranty…how can you go wrong? Highly recommend this product.

Purchased because I wanted a monocular for quick reference on the pistol range without dragging out my spotting scope. Easy to read cheap paper targets at 25 yards! Even easier if you go up for the splatter type targets. Product is compact and easily fits in my range bag.

real nice ,,very stiff to focus but stays where you put it,,i found to extend the eye cup helps with grip on focus ring,,,clear glass ,,good detail at all ranges ,,will be fantastic in winter when humidity is at its lowest with clean clear air,,in this heat high humidity wont let it perform as well as the quality glass permits

I'm old and I use it to see my hits (or misses) on targets up to 25 yards (handgun). It lets me see if I got two overlapping or whether I missed altogether. We also use it around the house for wildlife. My wife is a bird lover. (I just thinks they are mooches, eating our birdseed.) Does everything I need.

This works nicely when carrying a full binocular is too cumbersome. It seems to be very rugged also. The only negative is that the depth-of-field seems to be rather small and requires focus adjustment often. That is just the trade-off for the small size. You can't change physics.
