I have been looking for a 1-4 or 1-6 power scope for my dangerous game rifle. The Strike Eagle model is just what I was looking for. The optics are clear and the illumination makes it especially good for rapid target acquisition. Resting in Quick Detachable Warne rings makes it a fully functional multipurpose optic. The price was the best I could find anywhere.

I bought this Strike Eagle 1-6 scope to replace a Burris RT-6 that internally fogged up while elk hunting in soggy Oregon. I thoroughly tested the Strike Eagle in incessant Oregon rain, and it did not internally fog. I was able to sight it on my BLR 308 with about ten shots because I was able to shoot tight groups with the 1 MOA dot. Coarse adjustments of many turret clicks were easy to discern but making final adjustments with one click were difficult to discern. I did not give it a 5 rating because of distortion with the 1X setting, however, since I mostly use distortion free 2X or 4X when hunting it's not a deal breaker. I do not think you will find a better 1-6 in this price range for short/medium range elk and deer hunting. I am sold on these horseshoe/dot reticles will never go back to crosshair type reticles for big game.

The Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6×24 scope is great scope for the price. I have found Vortex scopes to be made of high quality with great features for the price point. This is my second Strike Eagle scope. I liked the first one that I purchased and when it came time to buy a second scope I didn't hesitate to buy another Strike Eagle again.

I initially purchased just one of these scopes. It was mounted on MSR and zero about 2 inches high at 100 yards. I was very satisfied with the scope and purchased more. I now have one of these on a 30-30, 35 Remington, 444, two each 5.56 and a 350 Legend. I also purchased the 1-8 and put one on a 5.56, 22 inch heavy barrel, 3.5 pound trigger which is a coyote hunter and the second is on a M1A National match. Not good for a 1000 yards, but I have engaged targets to five yards with both of these. The 1-6 or the 1-8 is a great scope and I recommend both.
