Mounted this on a new GLFA AR 15. Sighted in with no bore laser @ 25 & 50 yds. 200 rds decent ammo. 8”steel plate. Bright sun. Right out of the box plate rang & kept ringing. Minor adjustments & bingo. Held adjustments. Different minor astigmatism in each eye since youth. AARP age now. Unmounted & held forward this optic had a halo. Mounted, rearward on the rail, halo disappeared just like scope shadow in eye relief sweet spot. Minor comet tail (astigmatism) at times as I shifted cheek weld etc learning a new rifle but dot itself stayed clear. Red or green dot alongside the brightness options are worth it. Solid build clear optic that I’m sure can accurately far out range my eyesight & marksmanship. I’d bet on it for important takedown shot groups Vortex products & customer service have a solid reputation.

The option of going red or green dot is what drew my attention to this optic. The price was also attractive. I have not had the opportunity to put many rounds through the rifle with the optic attached. But with the opportunity I’ve had, it seems very sturdy. The cantilever mount is excellent. Good height. Love the green dot! I seem to pick it up quicker than the red.

I give this product 5 stars because it is exactly how every review, video or recommendation has described it. For those who don't want to or cannot afford to spend $500+ on a red dot optic this is the best! The quality is superb and it's very sleek fits my 33" carbine with 16" barrel perfectly and I still have plenty of room for BUIS and a magnifier if needed. The green dot is great for low light conditions I find it less obscuring but you probably will need to use the red in bright environments. Very simple to mount and zero.

I opted for this red only model after reading a number of reviews concerning the red and green variant washing out in certain conditions. This thing gets very bright – but fuzzy – when you use higher settings. Happy overall despite the size.

The battery was dead when it came, so I went and bought some new Duracell ones, and then it worked perfectly. This is high quality, well-made, easily attached, and easy to use. Overall a good buy. High recommended for the price.

This is well made and mounts very securely. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is the push buttons are hard to use and have to be pushed very precisely. That being said once you turn it on it’s good to go.
