Great addition to my gun tools. I used the vise block to change the barrel nut on my AR. Worked flawlessly! Be careful when handling outside the vise,there is no latch mechanism so one could easily drop an upper if careless.

The vice block fits many different versions of the mil spec uppers like a glove, with little or no wiggle room. Works great for torquing a barrel nut on a budget, or if you are only building one or two guns (aka- not made for heavy usage, although I'm sure it could handle quite a few builds). The gas tube alignment tool works well (if the barrel nut needs to be timed), and the main reason I bought this kit on sale. The workmanship is top notch on both pieces, and at this price, why not?

I had to grind out two spots in order to fit a left handed Stag upper. Even though the packaging says for left and right handed. This was not difficult but was a little frustrating as it just added time to the assembly of the upper.

I was trying to remove a PSA barrel nut and put as much torque on this thing as I possible could and it never moved. All I can say is hammers and channel locks were involved and nothing moved or broke. To think I was worried about putting 50lbs while installing my new barrel nut. My bench moved before anything else. I just wish I could keep my scope on if I needed to use it for holding after the assembly. I know there are other clamps for that and it's cool.

If you are breaking down your AR platform weapon for a major cleaning, or to upgrade it, this clamp is something you need to have! It makes barrel removal a quick and easy process and you don't have to worry about marring your weapon in the process.

I just received this and haven't used it yet. I am sure it will work as it should. I was disappointed to see that the product was made in China. It makes me wonder if I could have spent less on one without the Wheeler name on the packaging.
