I could not have asked for a better smoother crafted upper vise. It comes with holding pins they fit perfectly . So much better than the cheap vise block. No more tearing up the coating on uppers! Highly recommended !!!

Great for AR builds, used a clamshell vise block on my AR9 build and when I went to place the BCG it eould not slide in. Evidently I crushed the upper receiver just enough to bring it out of specs. Sent is back to Odin and they were gracious enough to send me a new replacement and a baseball cap, patches, stickers to boot! Mad props to Odin works. Anyways this wise block will hold the upper receiver by sliding the picatinni (SP) rail on two long groves and thus holding is securely without any stress to the receiver structural integrity. Highly recommended!

delivery was seriously like next day, day after something crazy Chi town to tha D in a couple days i got a notice email in like 4 hours letting me know that my order was being processed shipping 12hrs later…. so anyway the wheeler is top notch of course and the smooth finish is nice on the parts still room for masking tape if you prefer, i don't have a great vise but this helps alot.

I recently purchased this vice block for my first AR build. I wanted an aluminum vise block over a plastic one after seeing a buddy's plastic vise block distort when he was tightening a barrel nut. This vise block is excellent quality with a great fit and finish. I have now used it on multiple AR uppers and it has fit all of them properly and has not marred the finish. I feel that my uppers are secure when I am working on them and I am not worried about this vise block breaking as I am torquing my barrel nuts to spec.

This is a five-star tool. I gave it four stars due to the fact that nowhere in the sales literature or on their website did I see where they mentioned the need for a six inch vise. The pictures do show it in a 6 inch vise, sure it's a vise block so you expect to it to be shown in a vise. Once you read the instructions you realize that the upper should not move in the vice block. I have a heavy duty 4 inch vise and no matter how hard I cranked the vise the upper still moved. I then realized why they specify a six inch vise! I wasn't about to go buy a 6 inch vise so I cut two pieces 8 inch long of 1-1/2" angle iron. I cut them longer in case I needed to "c" clap the ends which was not necessary. Using the angle iron in the vise I was able to clamp the vise block along it's length and the upper didn't move. I used it for a billet and a forged upper worked great on both. It's a great tool if used the way it's meant to be used and you read the instructions!
