This is a great sight tool for the money. It isn't top of the line but for the price you get what you pay for. It also isn't a cheap sight tool either. It is well made and as long as you keep it lubed it should last. If you don't want to fork out $400 to $500 for a professional sight tool than this is a great tool for you. It has worked with most of the Handguns that I have used it on. There have been a few times that it couldn't quite do the job. This is usually the case on small sights that it didn't have enough room to get a purchase on to push against. Overall I would recommend this tool for the person who likes working on and doing their own gunsmithing.

I have bought and used many sight tools and this sight tool is by far the best "universal" sight tool on the market, however it does still leave some things to be desired. The "H" that pushes the sights will twist with torque and if you are not careful (with front sights) you can bend them. It would be better if the tool was wider so you could push the base of front sights with the outside edge, instead of the blade of the front sight with the inside of the "H" which will twist and can bend the front sight. For the rear sight the "H" worked great. The only other issue I have with it is in the directions it says to use by hand and do not use a extension or "cheater bar" on the handle, but it doesn't specify any torque limits of the tool. While installing a set of Trijicon HD sights on a Beretta APX, by hand, I chipped some threads off either the bolt that moves the "H" or the carrier that is attached to the "H" that interfaces with the Bolt. Now I don't think I'll be winning any strong man competitions, but I would say I have strong grip. I was just surprised that I was causing damage to the tool by hand. It's still is 100% functional, however I an questioning it's longevity.

My Grandfather and Father taught me two things that I put in my life's tool box and they have served me well. 1) Having the correct tools for the job makes the fix safer and easier. 2) Buying the correct / quality tool upfront means that you rarely, if ever have to replace it. This Wheeler sight tool is the right tool for a job I seem to come across frequently. It has every adjustment needed to accommodate most every pistol and once in place the job can be executed in a manner of minutes. This fixture has already paid for itself in aggregation saved. It can be used free standing or clamp it in the vice.

This is the best sight pusher tool I have ever purchased. I seen one at my local gun store and needed a new one anyway so decided to spend a little extra money on this Wheeler. I actually own a few other Wheeler products so when my old Vism sight pusher tool broke I knew this one would be good and sure enough it is. Very easy and smooth to operate and it just feels so seamless when pushing rear sights off. I would recommend this product to anyone and giving it five out of five stars.

It's my opinion that the Wheeler Armorer's Handgun Sight-Tool gives you all you need to remove, adjust & install gun-sights on most all Semi-Automatic Handguns. It's a heavy, well designed and well built tool, plus it's quick and easy tool to setup, adjust and use. For me, this tool will pay for itself with the money saved by not needing someone else to do this important job. While I am not a Licensed Professional Gunsmith, I do perform most of my Smithing needs myself. This is a necessary tool. While I have mine in a strong foam filled box, I wish Wheeler offered a storage box specifically designed to store, transport & protect it.

I was on the fence with this one and almost went with the NCStar tool to save some money. Sure glad I didn't. This tool is solid, well designed and easy to use. The instructions are very clear and make sight adjustment or replacement a breeze. The tool will work for glock sights or any other sights with a slight taper to them in addition to 1911s. So far, I have replaced sights on my Glock 20 and Beretta PX4 Storm. If you know anything about the PX4, you know that they have some of the hardest rear sights to remove. They are a pita! The Wheeler tool was certainly put to the test, after much effort and some careful alignment, I was able to break it free. I'm not sure that this would have been possible with the NCStar tool. Spend the money, get the Wheeler. As usual, Optics Planet had the best deal, best customer service, and quickest free shipping around!
