Description

There are a number of different Argos Rifle Scopes, but normally only the higher end models are found on entry level scopes. Argos 6-24x50mm Rifle Scopes are for those that are just starting out in the sport of competitive shooting. They are normally found on entry level scopes. These Argos Rifle Scopes have advanced fully multi-coated optics that effectively reduces reflected light and increases the transmission of light giving you a brighter image than normal single coated lenses. There is also a Precision Zero Stop System on these scopes that allows you to lock down your zero position and dial back to it with a sharp and precise stop right at your zero mark, even you are turning it in pitch-dark or blindfolded. There is a Precision 30mm First Focal Plane Rifle Scopes, but there are also some differences between the two. The lower magnification on the Argos 6-24x50mm Rifle Scopes is ideal for those getting started in the sport. 1. Jason Couch

Got my Raptor 50BMG 29" upper in on the 24th. Mounted my scope using Medium Lock-Tight on all the Rings. Was on paper at 100 yards with the first shot. Walking in took 5 Rounds and was dead on. I fired 15 rounds and it still held Zero. I highly recommend this scope.

Mounted on a Savage 110 Tactical in .308 with Vortex Pro Series Rings. This scope had all the features I wanted, but I didn't want to spend $1200 +++. At the cost of some optic quality at high magnification, you can get a well featured, useful optic with FFP, parallax adjustment, illuminated reticle, and zero stop turrets.I diligently leveled the rifle/mounts and then the scope with a flashlight through the ocular lens shining onto a plumb line on a far away wall. My first shots at 100 yards were only a few inches from the crosshairs. Shot at longer ranges with adjustments and was very happy with results.Complaints are the optical quality at high magnification which I expect for this price. Turrets do not lock. If you bump and rub them them properly against something they will turn. Another feature I wish I had was a motion sense on/off for the illumination. A feature that's great for saving battery life when you forget to turn illumination off which everyone will do.I'm a value shopper. I want all the positive features for the best price. This scope does very well. It's very very capable and useful for the price.

In late July 2021, I went hunting for deer in Hawaii on Molokai. The guides took a hunting buddy and me to a blind. About 8 deer walked out from behind a tree at 266 yards. I’m older now (73), and need more magnification, so I raised the power to 12. I tracked my deer. The guide stopped the deer by whistling. I squeezed off a round with my .300 Win mag. The picture was bright and the glass was clear. I could see everything. The shot was perfect; just behind the left shoulder. That was the longest shot I have made to date. The Athlon Argos ll 6-24 x 50 MOA worked flawlessly! I love this scope!! It is the best value I have ever gotten from any product I have ever bought. I must thank one of my hunting buddies for recommending the scope. What a great scope for the price!Chill

This scope delivers for the price. The focal view is clean edge to edge. With a top shelf scope being 100% clear, I would rate the Argos gen 2 around 85% clarity, which is in the area that it doesn't bother me. The turrets no longer have that mush from the grease used on gen 1. The turret stop is simple and repeats. Side focus/parallax is appropriate to the range your viewing through the objective.

This is my opinion vs my previous scope the vortex Diamondback tac. The Athlon scope is very robust. Very good Turrets very positive feel. The illumination is a nice addition. The extra Zoom gets pretty blurry beyond 20 power. The zero stop is easy to use and has a very positive stop. The scope came with caps instead of the bikini covers like the vortex. The only thing I wish it came with is a sunshade.Only real downfall for me is the reticle is very large at full zoom. The Diamondback has a very thin reticle that I had gotten used to.

Awwwww-yeah! Wow, what a piece of glass. You could charge another $300-400 for this optic and it would still be a deal. It has nearly every single feature you'd expect to find on $1000 optics with decent enough glass. Are there better scopes out there. Of course but you're going to pay several hundred dollars more for it. But for this price you get: – 6×24 power- parallax adjustment- tactile and audible adjustments- pull-cap/locking turrets- turret return-to-zero – First Focal Plane- diopter adjustment- illuminated, etched reticle- lens caps- shock, fog and waterproof- fully coated lensesUnbelievable! I'm sure there's more but I only found one other optic that comes close to this combination of features and price: The Swampfox Kentucky Long 4×24. Couldn't decide so I got both. That's the beauty of it. I get 2 top-tier, long-range optics for the price one of your "high-end" brands.
