Was looking to complement (without breaking the bank) my Springfield Saint Victor 7.5” Pistol with a green laser. Currently, my pistol is outfitted with an EOTech EXPS2-0. Mind you, my hardware is limited to home defense, so I opted to forego iron sights. I reviewed a number of YouTube vids and was eventually steered to the above reference.The LS117G was nearly zeroed (at 50 yards) right out the box. I’m using my EOTech to acquire subjects at no more than 10 yards, and the LS117G for subjects at 11 yards to 100 yards. It took 15 rounds to zero the laser (at 50 yards). I then cycled another 85 rounds at various distances, and the LS117G maintained its zero the entire time.During its installation, I separated the pressure pad switch from the bulky housing and used the included Velcro to affix the pressure pad to my hand guard (looks pretty clean, actually). I ordered from O.P. a Unity Tactical MLOK hot button and hope to get it the near to immediate future.I’ll spend a few weeks with the LS117G, if it continues to perform as it has today, then I will buy another one for my Thureon Defense (10 inch) PCC. So far, though, I couldn’t be more impressed!!

I had just found out how to make this Holosun LS-117R work on my Ar-15 Bushmaster Rifle with the fixed Iron Sight on the upper rail, and it also has an upgraded Quad rail on the Rifle as well. Well I took a look at the Holosun LS-117R and under the Picatinny mount there are four tiny screws that I had removed from the bottom. Then I had took two of those screws and moved them over to the right side of the LS-117 R as well as moved the Laser Beam on over to the Right side as well and then just used those two screws only. I had put the other two screws back in the box that the LS-117 R came in. Then I had tightened up the two screws with the Tool that comes with the LS-117R that comes in the Box. After that I had put the Laser Beam on and then I had tested everything out and it had worked. I had adjusted everything up with my TA-51 Trijicon Acog Scope exactly on the Red Chevron and it works just fine.

Holosun got it right with this one. I wish I'd known about it before I spent nearly twice as much on their version of the same thing with additional visible laser. That said, the only thing this is missing that the visible+IR version has is its own momentary trigger built into the housing. If it had the button I would have given it 5 stars. Really, 4.5 would have been ideal but you can't do half stars here.However there is another big plus to the 117: Its laser emitter aligns directly with the bore's vertical axis (or at least close enough) so there's no need to accommodate for an "X" shift when zeroing. That alone makes it a great buy. Also comes with its own tape switch and switch mount, which is always a plus.

Bright green laser in daylight and dark. This is a dedicated green laser only, so no extra options or features needed to be trained into muscle memory. This has buttons on the body and a remote switch. It is low profile. It is Holosun.

It’s a bright green laser that holds zero, for the price it’s a great deal. I used the Unity tactical taps pressure V2 and it works well. The mode selecting knob is tight and doesnt wobble. Overall, Im very satisfied with the product, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great laser for the price.

Absolutely an awesome piece of gear. Bought this for an AR build, and it exceeded my expectations. In complete darkness the laser is visible out past 250 yards. QD mount is solid and hasn’t slipped a fraction with 300 rounds of shock. Laser has held true zero, with no POA/POI shifts. Can be operated with either the switch on the rear, or the pressure pad. Pressure pad does NOT have to be used. Laser will turn on and off manually. Laser.came packaged in a very nice rugged hard plastic case. Installation and mounting instructions were simple and to the point. If your looking for “Operator” quality gear, Holosun has it. My other CQB AR will definitely be getting one of these units in the very near future.
