Holosun has done a great job with this unit. The pictures shown here on the site make it look cheap and the title and the description are a little vague with respect to another. This model has co-aligned Green visible and IR lasers as well as an IR illuminator. Zeroing the green laser during the day will also zero the IR laser and IR Illuminator (easiest way to zero IMO). It comes in a black case (similar to a pelican… but it is definitely not a pelican), of which I have no use for since the device will be left on my weapon. It comes with 1 CR123 battery, a pressure switch (more on that) a torx wrench (same thing and same size BCM uses for installing their KMR/MCMR/QRF rails as well as their brand accessories), a static free wipe, and the owners manual. The unit itself is built tough and and the mounting system is rock solid (surprisingly as I’ve seen other reviews have this as a point of contention…Holosun must’ve stepped up QA). It actually has a slim profile compared to other competitors with the same functionality. The controls are easy to use. The adjustment on the IR illuminate, controlled by a knurled knob on the back, is what sold me on this unit. There is also two small LED lights on the back of the unit to indicate whether the IR laser or the IR illuminate is activated (both will light up when both are in use). These will also blink when the battery gets low, serving a low battery indicator. The tape switch works with this unit. It is formed to fit a picatinney rail, though the soft side Velcro attached underneath sacrifices it’s ability to stay in its place. I thought about cutting out, but I do not intend to use a tape switch with the device, the controls are simple enough and where I have it placed, a tape switch isn’t needed. The only con I can see is the tape switch port (if you would even consider this a con). I tried an actual L3 AN/PEQ 15 tape switch with the device and though they look the same, they are not compatible. YouTuber Mrgunsngear did a review and he had mentioned that his Surefire variant tape switches were also incompatible. Overall I absolutely love this device. It’s ease of use, it’s multiple functions and it’s small profile, quality build make it an excellent choice. I definitely feel like a got a lot of bang for my buck here.

This is a nice sight for the money at about 1/2 the price of the better option. All 3 lasers are "slaved" together. So, aim the green laser pointer in daylight and the IR pointer and the IR illuminator are dialed in with it. The function set up is easy to use. The mount seams fine. I have not fired with it yet, so cannot yet comment on "hold" at this time

Pros:- Price is ok for this type of device compare to other offering in the market. – Construction is good although I'd preferred their LE model.- Easy to focus illuminator nob.- Readily available for purchase.- Rubber button on device is really nice.- Battery life is better than competitors. Leave my Battery in the device for a month+ and still kicking.- Clean and clear laser and IR/Illuminator @ close range. – Holosun warranty.Cons:- You're paying full price for airsoft tech. Thanks FDA for that.- Pressure button Cord is too long. Also, it's about time these company to give us M-Lok pressure button of some sort.- This device mount is just too high, blocking half of your scope if you do absolute co-witness. I had to mount it on the side instead.I wanted to return this product and wait for the Holosun LE to be back in-stock, but I think this product is "good enough" atm. Also, order the PERST 3 from Russia because I'm sick of FDA/ITAR rules n' regulation that is destroying our economy. I'll update if something goes wrong with this product.

I recently got a PVS-14 set up and was having trouble cheek welding when night shooting so I started to look into IR. I spent easily 40 hours on you tube checking out various IR devices and how they are used. I came across a great video which compared the Holosun to the Be Meyers and the PEQ. Those devices were out of my budget, but even the reviews indicated that the Holosun was a fierce contender to the BE Meyers and PEQ.This devise is amazing. I zero'ed the visible laser at 50 yards during the day. I simply adjusted the visible laser until it was on point with my EOTECh dot. This took 2 min. I then fired 3 rds to verify zero. The IR is slaved to the visible, so once you zero the visible laser, the IR is also zero'ed.I waited for nightfall and then headed into the woods to hunt some steel targets.I had 95% hits on my steel from 25 yards. I hip fired, fired from prone and did some "walk fast and gun" vs "run and gun" I'm till learning how to shoot in NOD so I did not want to trip in my own back yard. :)Anyway this devise is amazing. I would recommend to anyone. I have no plans to "upgrade" to a PEQ or Meyers as this thing does the job and its abilities are presently well beyond my needs. After research, I don't even see the need for the more expensive versions. That may change as I advance in my training, but I am nailing soda cans at 50 Yards every time with this on IR and visible. What more do you need. I have used it in -18 temps up here in the north NH white mountains and the Holosin runs like a champ. When my AR ran dry I dropped her in the snow and blasted some more cans with my sidearm. The holosun was covered in snow and quite cold, but zero factor, she ran like a champ.Buy it with confidence.

The quality of this unit is as good as units that cost me twice as much! Great little upgrade!
