507Comp-RD/507Comp-GR handgun sight features a large 1.1” x 0.87” objective lens for enhanced shooting performance and Holosun’s new Competition Reticle System (CRS) with Holosun’s 650nm Red/540nm Green Super LED and up to 50k hour battery life with a 1632 cell. CRS is an enhanced multi-reticle system with four components including a precision 2MOA dot, an 8MOA circle, 20MOA circle, and 32MOA circle with multiple combination settings to suit individual shooter preference. 507Comp-RD/507Comp-GR is made from 7075 aluminum with an industry standard footprint, and includes Shake Awake technology Shake Awake Technology is a standard feature on all current model Holosun optics and serves to extend battery life by deactivating the optic’s LED while not in use. A highly sensitive motion sensor works to detect motion keeping the LED powered on during use. This allows for duty or concealed carry with seamless operation throughout your day or shift. At the end of your day or shift when your firearm is stored, the motion sensor will detect a motionlessness state and after 10 minutes (default setting) Shake Awake Technology powers the LED off until motion is again detected. Shake Awake offers settings from 10 minutes to 12 hours depending on the model and can be deactivated altogether if preferred. The slightest touch of the optic instantly reactivates the LED so your Holosun optic is ready when needed. This is my 4th Holosun optic purchase in 2 years and each never disappoints. I have the MRS, and the ACSS Vulcan reticle units and this is my 1st CRS reticle unit. What’s really great about this one are the 8 & 20 MOA circle options. The 32 MOA circle on the others can be a bit too large and these smaller options; with or without the 2 MOA dot make for awesome target acquisition and the large window keeps you in the zone between shots and recoil. Fabulous optic, great value and consistent quality through the range of the 4 units owned. Personally, 3 of 4 units are green reticle and find the green reticle superior to the red and easier to pickup regardless of lighting conditions or the sight picture background beyond the target.

This red dot has awesome reticle choices. It’s new but I think it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I took it to the range mounted on my mark 4 pistol and right out of the box was hitting in the black at 50 feet. It’s going to be great for competition.

I had a 407K on my Staccato P that I replaced with the Comp for a larger field of view. I was concerned about the wide overhang on the slide but it really pairs nicely. The battery drawer screw seems susceptible to loosening like the K so use locktite and a witness mark and check regularly. I shot 500 rounds and noticed the battery tray screw had loosened slightly. Lost the drawer on the K more than once. Will be shooting The Tactical Games which is really hard on gear to see how it holds up.

As always, Optics Planet comes through with competitive pricing and prompt delivery. The product, Holosun 507C (green), was a breeze to mount and easy to sight in. It is mounted on a Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol. This weapon will be used for home defense, so it is sighted in at 12 yards. Three slugs touching each other at that distance was easy to “dial in”. I really like the reticle options that the 507C offers in 8 different combinations. Trusting that it will continue to hold its zero and the beast that I believe it is!

Best reticle combinations yet for me for USPSA. I have 3 other Holosuns and this is a big improvement. Available with green or red reticle, green works best for me.Large window is also much better for quick target movement. Controls work the same as other Holosun models. Holosun has a winner.
Average Glock Guy –
Needing to upgrade optic for Glock 34 for competition, I looked at 20 different optics for a week. I finally narrowed choice down to SRO, Holosun 509T and the new Competition model. I was leaning towards the closed emitter but the window was smaller on the 509T. I finally decided on the Competition because of size and price. I have installed maybe 5 different optics before so mounting was easy. Buttons worked great, window went to edge of slide and metal hangs over. Not a big deal since it isn’t duty weapon.
