I am amazed at how perfect this trimmer cuts each of my brass when needed. Very easy to setup and use. I cut 223 and 243 caliber cases with it to perfection. Looking at adding the automated handle as well. I keep it near all my reloading equipment for quick use when my casings start to lengthen after reloading several times.

Does a great job with what it’s supposed to do. Just a heads up you can only use hornady shell holders. That’s about the only downside. But other than that it’s a great product. Quality product with a reasonable price. Only wish it had a micrometer type dial for making adjustments.

I know this has very good reviews by most, but I have to rate it from a critical machinist's quality viewpoint. They are so close to having an excellent product. Unfortunately, As a forty year machinist, I can only tell you about the lack of quality control, and the poor clearance I found on the shafts that support the shell holder and pilot. The small end has a bore size of .504, while the shaft is .499 in diameter. That's .005 clearance. Which I noticed immediately, as the shaft had way too much run out. It should have no more than .002 clearance. Also the shaft was not smooth, with tooling marks on it that you can feel by running you finger nail down it's length. The same applied to the larger shaft on the opposite side. I don't know about you, but I put my hold down bolts in straight. The area that supports the bolts is cast at an angle, with no spot facing, or flat area to properly support the hold down fasteners. To make this a quality tool, I now have to polish the shafts, and then re-bore the pot metal aluminum body, and install thin wall bushings in both ends. I really can't believe this is made in America. If it was, this would not have had the poor quality issues I have noted here. I am now retired, and I have the time and tooling to make this what it should have been from the start. I would not have bought this if I had seen it in person. I should have popped for more money, and bought a Dillon. An American product should be made in America. Come on Hornady, prove me wrong.

This is a fantastic Case Trimmer. Just be advised you need to use Hornady Brand Shell Holders. Not a problem as I just order What I needed and will use them just for the case trimmer as I have shell holders will all my die sets.

Works really well. No problem getting consistent results. Got the feel of the tool quickly, just start out slow as not to over trim. Really happy with it. Hornady items have awesome quality built into them. I love their stuff.
