The Kaw Valley Precision OPMOD Hybrid-K Linear Compensator is part of a small family of Muzzle Devices aimed at taming muzzle concussion. The KVP Hybrid-K linear comp collects and redirects muzzle gases away from the shooter. This redirection helps reduce the perceived decibels the shooter experiences at their ear. By pushing excessive noise and concussion downrange, the shooter and bystanders experience a much softer shooting experience. OPMOD and Kaw Valley Precision have joined forces to design and manufacture this Optics Planet Exclusive compensator. We are both proud to bring to market the Hybrid K Linear Compensator. Kaw Valley Precision OPMOD Hybrid-K Linear Compensator is a combination linear compensator and ported brake. The Hybrid K features four compact vertical ports to tame muzzle rise, as well as forward facing ports to direct sound concussion away from the shooter. Designed with a large internal volume, the OPMOD Hybrid-K Linear Compensator allows for efficient sound redirection, while the top ports direct blast vertically combating muzzle flip. The comps are Black Nitride finished for exceptional wear properties. Note: Please install Hybrid K’s with a crush washer or other timing device. Locate the vertical ports in an eleven/one o’clock orientation for best results. Note: .22 Caliber can also work with .22LR, .220 Swift, 22-250, .223, 5.56, .223 Wylde, .22 TCM, .22 WSSM, 5.7, etc. .30 Caliber can also work with .308 Win, 300 BLK, 300 Win Mag, .270, .243, 6.5 Creedmore, 6.5 Grendel, 7mm, 7mm Rem Mag, 300 PRC, etc. .355 Caliber can also work with 9mm, .357 Mag, 38 Special, .350 Legend, etc. Specifications for Kaw Valley Precision OPMOD Hybrid-K Linear Compensator: Manufacturer: OPMOD Color: Black Gun Make: AR Platform Gun Model: AR-15 Condition: New Features of Kaw Valley Precision OPMOD Hybrid-K Linear Compensator Caliber: .22 Caliber Threads per Inch: 1/2×28 Package Contents: Kaw Valley Precision OPMOD Hybrid-K Linear Compensator

Was looking for a linear comp for my Tavor X95. The bullpup design is fantastic, but makes it a bit loud for the shooter and muzzle rise, while not bad at all on a 5.56, was noticeable with no weight on the front end. This piece helps greatly with both. More of the sound goes forward while the slight porting helps with muzzle rise without blinding the shooter or those on the next lane. Easy to install and index. On the X95, you just use the factory lock nut and a pair of 19mm wrenches to tighten it in place. Highly recommend this for any bull pup or short barrel you don't plan to add a can to.

This actually is a linear comp, and it works. It cuts recoil a bit, and it sends all that blast and fire forward, away from the weapon's operator.Definitely recommended.Oh, it's strong and steel as well.

This comp really helps keep the muzzle down during fire. Good stuff!

It’s a great muzzle device for a rifle where sound projection is important

I have several muzzle devices, but linear compensators are new to me in the last year. I really stand by them now! Kaw Valley is one of very few companies that actually make them. I have several of their linear compensators from them, but this Hybrid-K is the bees knees. It mixes the benefits of a linear compensator but also features vertical ports, which give the benefits of a standard compensator. I love the reduced recoil. I think it also looks sick at the end of my barrel. I highly recommend.

The Compensator looks OK. However, I can not install it because it did not come with a crush washer. I expected it to come with the washer. I checked (afterwards) on the web site and it made NO mention of the washer. So, there was no way that I knew I would have to buy the washer as well. In my opinion that is lousy marketing and worse customer service! The rating is for the device not the customer service.
