This is my 5th pair of Kenetrek boots. The first 1000's pair. Because of the extra insulation I went up a half size to help with comfort. It didn't work. Yes they added more insulation than the 400's but did not make accomodation for the amount of space that added insulation would need. There is none over the heel bone so the heel rubs against the hard leather inside. The whole foot is cramped by the limited space. Even with my thinnest socks it does not help. I won't be purchasing another pair. I need the extra insulation for extreme weather outdoors in MT.
