The Magpul Industries AR-15/M4 Barrel Extension Vise Block is an all-in-one tool for assembly operations of barrel nuts, flash hiders, and other barrel extensions. Providing support for both billet and forged upper receivers, these Receiver Vice Blocks & Reaction Rods from Magpul Industries engages the barrel extension with solid steel lugs and supports the shank to prevent flexing. The steel hardness of the Magpul Industries Compact BEV Block is extremely durable but won’t damage the barrel extension, and all engagement surfaces are covered with a special polymer to protect the aluminum receiver. I just finished a complete upper build with this block and it worked out very well. It was well seated in the barrel extension and handled the torque wrench fine. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because my carrier didn’t fit over the o ring stabilizer easily, even after a little CLP. I had to tap my carrier with a rubber mallet to seat it and part of the o ring is no more. (What’s a knucklehead supposed to do?)

Used this product for the first time, its secured the upper very well once a bcg was inserted into the receiver. Made installation of the barrel and handguard much easier than trying to use an upper vise block.

They got it right for people with small hands. Now all they need to do is offer this grip in med. and large.. It needs a palm swell or beefed up a bit for big hands. It needs to be longer as well. Good stippling and grip. no nonsense grip much like an HK style as it gets wider near the bottom of grip. I like this grip, too bad they don't make a larger version.

The Magpul BEV block was the perfect tool to hold an upper in my vise. I wish they made a AR-10 model too.

The Magpul BEV block tool can be used in place of all your other bench devices. If you only purchase one, this is the one. Easy to work on lowers but flip over and you can do the upper receiver.The only issue is when working on upper, you really need to put a bolt assembly in and secure it to the block to keep everything stable.

I bought this and modded it for the use of the MCX platform. If you grind down the 1’o clock and 2’o clock lugs. It will fit the Mcx while still being functional for standard AR/M4 rifles.
