Makes a huge difference to be able to attach a sling to that part of the rifle. Handles much better from there. Looks good also with magpul symbol on both sides. Allows you to run a single point attachment if you so choose.

The item works exactly as mentioned. The install was pretty straight forward and being a newbie to the AR’s I had no problems at all. The only minor item is when in use the ring does hang down a bit and can rub on the crease between the thumb and forefinger but is not a deal breaker. Overall a nice product!

Functional. Quality materials like all magpul products. Just make sure you now what you're getting. Perfect for running drills at all shooting positions and angles. I like that it can move side to side rather than just anchored I one spot like QD sling mounts. Now that may be a disadvantage to some people. Peronsally I appreciate it. Bought two. Probably will buy more.

Exactly what I ordered, simple instructions to install, took about 10 minutes to install, little noisy and metallic sounding, but exactly what I ordered and expected, price was also as reasonable as anywhere else but free shipping,thanks

This sling mount is made with quality materials, however, depending on the castle nut wrench you use/own, the ambidextrous slide blocks access to the castle nut for thicker gauge wrenches. I had to find a different solution as I could only find purchase with two of the four castle nut lugs.
