The slots are at the six o’clock position right behind the front sling attachment point. If you mount a light and a sling, the sling is in the way of the light. Slots should be at the nine and three o’clock position then this stock would be perfect!! It is a great fit and looks good. Also light in weight.

I got this because I didn't like the shape of the Ruger OEM 10/22 stock. I don't prefer the grip angle on the original, but this Magpul MOE stock is much better. It is lightweight and has 2 mlok slots to attach accessories. I'll be attaching a bipod to mine. Highly recommend!

I was not entirely sold on Magpul making actual rifle stocks as opposed to AR stocks however the brand’s reputation comes for good reason. The initial impression of the stock is quite good and the material feels of very good quality considering how light is. Because of how light the stock it may throw off your rifle’s balance, my Ruger has a bull barrel on it and after swapping out the factory stock it is now a bit front heavy. My only minor gripe is that some fitting might be required to get a perfect fit. Be aware that there are limited M-Lok slots if you are planning on using any sort of attachments. If you’re looking for a simple and light stock for your Ruger this might be hard to beat. If you are planning on using a scope the Magpul Hunter may be a better option but YMMV.

Great 10/22 stock option if you are looking for something lightweight and more simple in design.
