Put it on my Mossberg 500 12 guage. Like night and day compared to the original stock. Huge improvement on the recoil, and the grip is really nice. Looks pretty cool too. Just a high quality upgrade and would not hesitate to buy again.

It's somewhat rare when just one change can give a new life to an old firearm. This Magpul stock is exactly this kind of a part. It is sleek, extremely comfortable, has a great recoil mitigation, and is customizable. Very easy installation, to the point that the longest part of the process will be taking off your old stock. Can't recommend it enough.

This is a very comfortable stock, with nice texturing, a recoil-absorbing butt pad, with one minor design flaw. After installing, the instructions note that you might have to loosen the stock to disassemble the firearm for cleaning. This is less than ideal because prying that snap-in plastic cover off the stock for several cleanings would inevitably lead to that plastic cover’s clip breaking due to the repeated stress of installation and removal over the shotgun’s life. Not only did my Mossberg’s trigger assembly get locked fully under the stock, but it put so much pressure on it that it was transferring that pressure to the pin that is removed to pull the trigger assembly out of the receiver. I used an xacto knife and a small rat tail file to slowly shave and smooth material out of the stock’s channel for the trigger assembly, checking fitment frequently. Once I could pop the trigger assembly past the outer plastic lip of the stock, a little 320 grit wet or dry sandpaper and a polish with Mother’s mag & aluminum wheel polish brought the plastic in the channel back to a factory-looking finish. Magpul should have suggested that to address fitment, or there should be a more durable way to attach the cover over the bolt that attaches the stock to the receiver.

This stock changed my life! Before I purchased this stock, I was a loser on a grand scale. Showing up at the range with my Mossberg 590A1 was a drag with the original stock. It was Looooong and not very comfortable. On a Tacticool scale, it wasn't. Now my life has changed completely. As soon as I mounted this thing, it was as if the sun burst thru the clouds blinding me, and everyone around me in it's light. Now I hold my head (and shotgun) up with pride. I'm able to grip my shotgun as never before, and the adjustability is off the scale. Chicks did me now! No really. You will love this thing.

This is the single best shotgun stock I've ever tried. Adjustable length of pull, super soft recoil pad, a comfortable grip angle, and it has an attractive, non-tacticool look. It's also quite hefty and durable. My only complaint with the Mossberg version is that you cannot remove the trigger assembly without removing the stock first. I took a Dremel tool and ground out a relief for the rear of the trigger guard to swing in and out of position. I wish Magpul would have done this from the factory, but it's only a minor gripe for an otherwise perfect stock.

Fits perfectly fine with model 88 looks and feels great. Would recommend mend. Will say that the one screw that holds it in place is a pain because you can only get 1/4 turn at a time with the way it is set up.
