I was looking for a compact unit that would have the same protection as the larger ear muff type. These offered as good if not better protection and also offered some voice enhancement even without any electronics.

I have both the 26db and 31db versions. Both seem to block the noise well, and I like the fact that they don't interfere with cheek weld. However, they tend to rock back and forth on my head if I'm not wearing a hat. A bit annoying, but not a deal breaker.

I have used this product for the last couple of months at my gun club and find it to be very effective in reducing the sharp reports of the shots.I have recommended it to several members of the gun club and will be ordering another pair for myself.

I use the Otis Technology 31 Db hearing protectors on the firing range for practice and when testing repaired or modified firearms. I have found that these hearing protectors work very well while not being heavy and bulky. They allow you to hear normal conversation while protecting you when the shooting starts. They don't make your ear canal sore like standard silicone type ear plugs do and they require no fitting, with quick on off ability. The system allows full protection for people large and small. I have many friends that have been to combat and return with tinnitus, I believe they could have benefited from this product and feature them when inquiring about their problems with the ringing in their ears. They tell me that they help when at the range. Excellent product, I recommend then highly!

I purchased these New Year's Day and was finally able too get to the range on this past Monday the 18th. And I tell you these ear shields worked great reduced the noise to almost nothing, and that's when shooting a 5.56 on an indoor range. You can easily forget that they are on because when I finished I kept trying too put my hat on before I took them off LOL. Light

Most likely better noise cancelation than $100 or more electronic ear muffs. Stereo sound. Easy to hear range commands and you can hold a conversation at normal volume. Oh yeah no batteries. No electronics to fail. More than highly recommended. You will not make a fashion statement, but who cares?
