Started picking these things up because being a revolver user i'm used to simple things. So the HKS style twist knob speed loaders just are not what I like.Jokes aside these things work just how you would want them to.They work in my: S&W 10-5, Dan Wesson 15-2 4", Colt Detective Special Mod. 2 All with factory grips. So I found out one time that they fit the Colt and the more I looked into it they should work on the 1st & 2nd generations but have issues with the 3rd. I figure its due to grip size as it has very little clearance on mine. So careful with aftermarket grips or decktape.Good for CCW reloads, they survive drops onto concrete loaded and unloaded multiple times.maybe add a strip of decktape around them to give a bit more grip.not the best for competition shooting the 3's are probably the better choice.

The good: Product is great, works like a charm. The bad: Pretty sure it was used however… the plastic of the packaging was stapled to the cardboard, you could tell it had been previously torn off the backing. There are also a few scuffs on the item itself, as if it was used.Item still works fine but it is a little odd to be getting a used one if that is the case.

I have always used HKS speedloaders. I recently installed Crimson Trace LG-306 Laser Grips on my Round Butt S&W K Frame, and I discovered that the HKS speedloaders were dragging on the grips when loading .357s making "speed" loading not so speedy. I tried the Safariland Comp II & it just clears the grips. Also, once you figure out how to load them I think they are easier to use, just insert in the cylinder & push down. Another plus, they don't rattle when walking.
