Seriously it took this long to come up with a functional modular system for a patrol belt. Well it was worth the wait! Standard patrol, sure this will work. Got a SWAT call out no problem, quickly add what you want subtract what you don't, all at the pinch of your fingers. Want to take it to the next level. Look at the ELS duty, tactical, competition belts and you won't have to drill holes in your duty gear to get the quick detach capabilities. Does this system work on everything? No but with slight modifications it will work on most things. I like the fact when taking prisoners into the detention facility, I can put my entire holster with the retention in the locker without disrobing. Only drawback is the cost. I guess innovation is not free! To those of us that need it it is worth it, but I would like to pay a little less.

Well built, well thought out design. Allows you to securely move a holster from chest rig to belt to dash to anyplace else you want to mount a receiver half without needing to remove the weapon first. Allows for some adjustability for cant and such and is compatible with several different mounting options. Solid kit like everything else Safariland makes.

I purchased Safariland's QLS system with the goal of switching the holster out to carry a different pistol. The product performs the duties required of it, however at a price.The system itself as some girth to the already large thigh holster I purchased. Additionally for three pieces of plastic the costs add up real quick.An integrated thigh holsters with the quick release system built into it would be ideal.Pros: VersatilityCons: Price & Size

This will fulfill the requirements needed. This is a product everyone should be familiar with and understand if you're serious about a pistol belt. I also recommend the ELS swappable gear that Safariland sells.

I'm here to reassure you of your choice. Make the correct one and stick with Safariland for security and reliability. Get the plates based on the level required for each situation. If you're training, then these may be fine, but if you're law enforcement or securities, get the locking ones.
