This mount installed simply and easily in minutes. Is solid and holds zero. The split rail design keeps the ejection area clear so spent brass does not bounce back into chamber causing possible failures. Not for use with a smaller optic. But the M1A deserves better than that anyway.

Easy install, works great, light weight, and a solid mount. You are still able to use your iron sights with this mount, however it is somewhat limited, but it can be done…………………………

This is the third scope mount on my Natinal Match M1A. I recently put an Archangel stock on the rifle to save the too nice to bang up walnut original and wanted a solid mount for the Leupold VX-R. So far both the mount and the scope are staying right on target. No ejection clearance issues and should be easy to swap for other optics should I so choose. I will buy another when that time comes.

This mount was fairly easy to install and holds the scope at zero. For the install it came with 2 3/32 roll pins. I was wishing for a third when I was installing it. I messed up the first one and was on my way to messing up the spare when I was able to get it in. I do recommend using some type of thread locker after fitting the base to the receiver just to make sure it doesn't come loose.

Very tight. If you shoot long range this is the one you want. Get a set of fine files before installing and take your time. This is about a 2 hour process to do correctly. Don't go cheap on this part. This is the one for your M1A precision guys.
