Super handy flashlight that really throws the lumens! The beam is a nice size and easily locates my dogs or other animals across a 200yard wide pasture. Battery life has been better than expected. I wish it had a switch like the HL4 but overall I am very happy with this light and it will get a workout daily for years to come.

Great light – very bright. Use it anywhere. Fits into car pocket good. This was a great gift to help me around home and farm. I would recommend this for any person. This is really good for the night time driver. This would be great safety device for a traveler. All good.

A great tool. I lost mine on a fire scene, and needed to replace it. The super illumination on fire incidents gets everyone's attention. I couldn't be without one.I would reccomend the charger and an extra set of batteries.

This is my third Streamlight ProTac HL 5-X 3500 Lumens flashlight. My first is over ten years old and still works like the day i bought it. I also have four smaller 1000 lumen Streamlights. These lights are made to last and every one I own still work great. The brightness of the 3500 lumens is more than any civilian might need. I wish I had one when I was one the job. I had to carry the big mag lights. I suggest having extra rechargeable batteries and a charger so you won’t ever run out of power.

I purchased this flashlight almost 2 years ago because I walk my dog at night so durability and reliability and performance are all extremely important to me… I seen the projected rating of 3500 lumens and thought yeah right for under150 dollars there’s no way even if it is Streamlight. Well I was right they’re lying… It’s probably more like 4500 lumens! I mean this thing will give you a suntan if you want it to! I’ve used this light almost every single night since I’ve purchased it. I’ve dropped it out of my truck and fallen multiple times while running or hiking and have even hit the pavement going fast on my BMX. This thing is a tank and the amount of blistering light it puts out is insane. I would highly recommend this flashlight.

LISTEN UP FOLKS!! TAKE NOTICE… SERIOUSLY! I have written and/or submitted maybe 1 or 2 other reviews on a product in the approximate 20 years I have shopped on the internet. Well, this product is deserving of a 5 star review. This ProTac HL 5-X USB flashlight is worth soooooooo much more than the price it is selling for. You will have to simply trust me, as I have dozens of "high-end," middle grade, and even a few "budget" torches to compare it to. AMAZING!! The 3,500 lumens is legit…and the included 18650 USB batteries last a long time. I was very impressed with that fact. I also have a ProTac HL 4, HL 3, & the original HL…which are all fantastic tactical lights as well, however, this HL 5-X USB model is ARGUABLY thee best torch on the market. I truly believe, UNARGUABLY, it to be the absolute best torch dollar for dollar available. Anyway…go ahead and purchase one and then tell me I'm wrong…you won't!The 250 lumens low setting seems to be close to comparable to a 629 lumens 5.11 torch I have…a $90 item, I might add. The 1000 lumens middle mode is as bright as the 1100 high mode on the HL 3, however, with a wider beam. (The HL 3 being more of a "thrower") This light has awesome, massive flood characteristics AND throw capability!!! Seriously, quite possibly the perfect tactical flashlight.Lastly, just a reminder…only my 2nd (or possibly 3rd) review of a product of any kind in 20 years of online shopping! 'Nuff said. GOD BLESS!
