This was a great buy does exactly what the description says, great price excellent customer service and it was shipped super fast. I was skeptical at first but the very second I went to the range it was evident why it was needed. Excellent for my 7.5 in AR Pistol

It definitely works, but it's very heavy and only fits SI muzzle devices. at $120, I think its a bit expensive for what you get. It looks cool, but a flash can for $20 will do the same thing. If you already have a SI muzzle device, get it – it's neat. If you don't, and you're looking at a fresh muzzle, buy something else.

I pick this up after seeing a ton of videos on it. The oppressor does add some weight to the gun but does what it’s intended to do, with out sacrificing the comps ability to keep you on target and flat

Just a heads up, if you purchase this item then there's a step or two you might wanna take before using the Oppressor.I recommend using blue loctite on the small screws located on the mounting portion of the Oppressor. MAKE SURE TO APPLY LOCTITE ONE SCREW AT A TIME.After the first use and 180 rounds later (60 round mag dump with a binary trigger) I noticed that the Oppressor was difficult to remove. Upon inspection I see that one of the screws had come out which made it difficult to remove the Oppressor. A small hex key wrench in the hole and a little adjustment made it much easier to remove and install.I reached out to Strike Industries direct and was advised that this was an issue on the earlier batches. I requested from SI if they could send me just the screw and that I'd fix it myself, they ended up sending me a whole new Oppressor at no charge. Great customer service if you ask me. Now I have two Oppressors.

While it may be tempting to believe that putting this on a compatible muzzle brake will let you keep the benefits of recoil control, I can vouch that this is not the case. It is difficult to compare this to a bare muzzle, in which case I'm sure it has a benefit, but this does not compare to the performance of a muzzle brake unrestricted.I use this on my J-Comp Gen 2, and with the comp alone, I feel like I've turned muzzle movement off. With this on, I get rise and drift up and to the right. While you can definitely mitigate it with technique, it's not a "have your cake and eat it too" situation. So what is this good for? It's great for when you need to shoot indoors and not bother everyone around you, and not concuss yourself with the muzzle brake. It can also be a decent analog for training with a little bit of extra weight and length on your barrel if you intend to suppress it later. It's effectively an off switch for your muzzle brake.
