Pretty expensive, but truly an upgrade over conventional sights. Remember, for home defense, your shooting will almost definitely would be at night. Whether it's night or day shooting these sights are better than conventional sights.

I love these sights. The neon green is outstanding in helping me to gain an instant sight picture and is terrific in low light conditions. There is a quicker target acquisition with these sights that is not only helpful at the range, but in other aspects of what may come. With Trijicon you can count on getting a quality product.

I purchased this because I have trouble picking up fiber optic sights at the range, typically the lighting is not the best. This sight is very easy to pick up, even in low light. I also use these for IDPA, steel matches, etc. I have to say I prefer the XD HR sights for that as they're a little narrower in the front which makes acquisition, for me, faster. I now keep the wider XD sights on my Sig which is not a competition gun, and the narrower XD HR fronts on my M&P Pro.

There are plenty of reviews on these sights and I would agree with most that they are great sights. I chose the HD's over the HD XR's cause I do not shoot long range very often at all. Maybe training once a year but even still I don't anticipate any issues with the HD being too large. I will also say that they must have paid more attention to detail regarding the complaints about the sights being sharp since mine are very well machined and smooth.And the price and support from Opticsplanet is top notch. Engaged in a chat and they gave me a discount coupon to use on these since the lesser expensive product I originally was looking at was not available.

I can't imagine anyone could be anything other than thrilled with these sights. They are simply that fantastic and amazing. I bought them for my M&P 2.0 compact. I was a little concerned that I may not like the slightly larger front sight dot, because I enjoy precision shooting too, but that concerned was unfounded. Unsupported I was able to put 4 of 5 shoots in a 5" group at 50 yards. That's awesome in my opinion, and I'm not a competitive shooter. The sight picture is excellent, and there's plenty of space on each side of the front post which I'm very pleased with too.

Emailed S&W to find out this fits the Governor, and the 0.292 is the closest to the stock front sight. So much easier to see in bright and dim light, and of course in the dark also. Awesome product!
