Best sights ever day or night. The sights that game with Springfield XDS 45 were ok for day use only. At night forget it, could not see end of gun. With the Trijicon HD sights, night not a problem. Day time even better with the orange sight, cant miss.

When stock just isn't good enough you go for your upgrade to trijicon HD night sights, works well in daylight or at night as well as indoors, makes it easy to lock your sights in on a target…I'm very happy with this as an upgrade…

the orange front sight during light is bright and acts just like a fiber optic sight. it is bright and easy to focus on and as you transition the sight into a dark room it turns into a glowing night sight. The combination works surprisingly well. I like it so much I will be converting the rest of my guns over to these sights. You will be very pleased with this setup and highly recommend them

To be fair, not all sights are the top of the line per say but are quality sights for an XDM 3.8 compact. The Sig P938 sights were the only sights mounted so all sight distances were at that mounting length in an attempt to make this assessment as fair as possible.Truglo TFO TG131XT: Called to find out the manufacture date when I first received them. System answered in 5 rings and forwarded me to the proper department. After 11 months, the front sight died and I don’t know why. Followed the instructions on the package and mailed them into Truglo with a check. Check cashed in four days and new front sight received in three days via Fedx. I wasn’t told it was coming and assumed the worst so I purchased the Mep and Trij to be sure that I was covered and to make my own assessment. The new TFX is warranted against solvents, oil and sonic cleaning. Per the tech, some people have stated that TFX are a little dimmer in the sunlight but are the same as the TFO in darkness. Save your package and receipt for warranty work and instructions for repair. They stand behind their product, but I prefer not to need the warranty again. These sights are so close to the Mepro’s in brightness at night, it is almost a tie in brightness at night. At night, the original TFO front sight and replacement are both a little weaker in brightness than the rear; however the rear TFO is the brightest of them all during the day in direct sunlight or shade. The Trijicon front sight is the brightest (in direct sunlight only). Quick TFO spotting, day or night, is easy because of the long cylinder that you see rather than a dot. On a (cloudy day) TFO sights still have a little glow while the others don’t. If all sights glowed at night like TFO in direct sunlight, we wouldn’t need reviews. Truglo Techs. are friendly and helpful. Rated #1 because of ease of use during day and night conditions keeping in mind I used the warranty once, they are subject to failure from solvents and oil, and the balance at night is not as good as the Mepro or Sig but they are reasonable in price and still work. Phone 792-774-0300Mepro: ML11420 Email to Israel and did not receive a response yet, 15 days. Next day called the Mako Group and left a message. Third day called, person designated per their web sight could not tell me which model I needed but took a message reluctantly. The forth day, waited one hour before closing to call. Again the person listed on the Mako Group web sight for information could not answer my question but transferred my call to someone who could. The tech. answered my question and was nice. Have to fill out warranty card. Mako Group has to receive it within 10 days from the (date of purchase) and have card (completely filled out) for a valid warranty. Requires envelope and stamp. Took three days to receive sights from the seller plus mail time to them. Time frame is extremely short to obtain warranty. Called to verify warranty, out to lunch, left message no return call and its been three days now. These sights are the brightest out of all of them at night, the balance in brightness is the best of all sights but the sight picture during the day is like normal white three dot sights and why they are rated in the 2nd position. Phone 631-843-0490Sig Sauer: Called and in four rings an automated system provided information for departments. The tech. stated sights are made by Mepro for them. The Sig web site reads as if they make their own sights. When compared to Mepro side by side, they look the same in the dark and maybe just millimeters smaller, maybe? Warranty came with the registration of the gun. Sig techs. Are helpful and friendly. Rated 3rd position because they are just a tad darker than the Mepro at night and might be slightly smaller but have excellent balance. Like regular 3 dot sights during the day. Night shooting was as accurate as during the day at 25 feet using the three dots. Phone 603-610-3000Trijicon HD Sp101o: Emailed and received a response the next day about where to find info regarding cost of installation and type of sights available. Trijicon tech was nice when I called. Called Springfield to see install price and proper sight for pistol. Springfield tech. was very nice and helpful. Filled out warranty card and mailed it in, postage paid.Supprised that the Trij was the darkest on both sights at night. The size of the cylinders on both sights are smaller so they are harder to see but the sight picture is the sharpest of them all. The red dot on a (cloudy day) does not pop like the Truglo and the back sight has nothing to line up requiring sighting like old iron sights. I prefer the three-dot method. A white line around the edge of the rear sight, or circles around the dots of the rear sight would be helpful. Warranted for sonic cleaners but avoid strong organic solvents per the package. The Trijicon tech. stated that Hopps #9 solvent and oil is fine.

These are my favorite style of iron sights and I have them on all my carry guns. The front orange dot is bright and super easy to pick up and visually sits right where it's supposed to: in the rounded notch in the rear sight. Having the ledge on the rear sight for one-handed slide manipulation is nice, too. The green tritium is also very easy to pick up in the dark. I had a gunsmith install these sights for me as Springfields have notoriously tight factory sights and I didn't want to put any dings/scratches on my pistol trying to install them myself. Totally worth it.
