I have a couple of Vortex Diamondbacks. For a budget priced scopes, awesome. I use these on bolt actions from 22lr to 308win and they hold their 0. Glass is clear for me, even with my poor eye sight.

I own several scopes from many different manufacturers .This scope out performs them all. The scope moves exactly what it is suppose to according to the number of clicks you make. Outstanding focus adjustments. This is the third one of these I own.

First off, this scope is not the first Vortex product I’ve purchased. What differentiates this Diamondback FFP scope from previous Vortex purchases is that with some range time I still really like this scope. Positive turret clicks, clear glass, excellent reticle and first focal plane for under $400 is a great deal. Everything I wanted for my precision .22 build! The only negatives are the magnification adjustment takes some muscle to twist when new and unfortunately it’s made in China. Highly recommend!

Mounted this on my new Ruger American Predator 18” Barrel 308 rifle. It was easy to mount and get a good eye relief as well as a forgiving eye box. This is my lightweight 308 woods gun and this scope is the perfect budget option for this rifle

it's a nice scope and very clear but the reticle is very fine and hard to see all MOA markings. really wish they were more diffined or thicker so it was easier to see. hope Vortex does something about that in the future

I recently purchased this scope to mount on a Ruger American Ranch in 5.56. I was looking for a front focal plane scope that wouldn't break the bank. Usually I believe you get what you pay for in optics. I had bought a primary arms 4-14×44 after seeing all the great reviews. I sold it pretty quickly, never even mounted it. The turrets were mushy and didn't line up with the indicator when dialed. I also looked the the new Bushnell Nitro line, but their turrets can't be slipped back to zero… Kind of a deal breaker for me. Not the case with this scope !! Glass is clear. Turrets are tactile and crisp. Resettable to zero. The EBR2C reticle is very well thought out, and great for elevation and wind hold overs. I mounted it with a pair of swfa low 30mm rings. After zeroing I have 14.5 mils left of adjustment which is plenty for the caliber. I have not yet checked the tracking of the scope which is 1 reason why this isn't getting 5 stars. 2nd is there is no revolution indicator on the turret, so when shooting you have to keep in mind exactly how much elevation you have dialed, to be able to return to zero. I have also noticed the parallax is a bit finiky, you have to really tune it from target to target to get a crisp image more so than on other optics I own. But for the price Vortex has knocked it out of the park!!! Thinking of also purchasing their 6-24×50. Again great little scope amazing value for the price!
