For what it is, it does the job, but the field of view is very tight and narrow. You can't see much around your target area and dot. The mount is quality and works well. I have Unity risers on the way for both my red dot and magnifier which will let the magnifier rest below my EXPS3 instead of to the side (snag risk). The field of view almost makes me wish I got a LPVO with a canted dot mounted, but then I'd be spending $3,000 on a Night Force ATACR, so choose your battles.

The Eotech G33 is arguably the best magnifier money can buy, and now they make it with 5 times magnification. The only downside to this product is that I ordered it in October 2020 and received it September 2021 haha. It is my opinion that this is the best magnifier for longer barrels. I put the G33 on my 10 inch AR, and I put the G45 on my 16 inch AR. The magnifiers compliment those barrel lengths perfectly. The differences I noticed between the G33 and G45 is that the windage and elevation knobs are closer the the front on the G33 and more towards the rear on the G45. The G45 is also wider than the G33. And the rubber cover on the G45 seems a bit loose compared to the G33. The rubber cover on the G33 seems to be attached near the eye glass and then is wrapped around the windage and elevation knobs toward the front. But on the G45, since the knobs are near the rear, the rubber cover can easily be flapped around with a single finger towards the front on the underside. I have no complaints about this though. It seems to be designed this way and I do not see the rubber cover falling off or shifting around at all even if you drop your rifle. Also I would guess that the G45 is heavier, but while holding the G33 and G45 at the same time, I do not feel a difference. Hope this review helps!

I would say the quality of the glass is fantastic. The eye relief is not the greatest, so you will need to adjust the magnifier on your rail or move the butt stock up/down. The mount is plenty sturdy if you dial the adjustment screw just right before clamping it down all the way. The G45 is a little heavier than the G33, but I'm in my 60 yo, so I prefer a slightly higher powered magnifier as my eyes have aged. I use all closer range shooting with my EOTech RDS. The Vortex Micro 6 is slightly higher powered, but takes up more space on your footprint and the eye relief is no better. I was tempted to give it five stars, but the price is a bit ridiculous; especially in our economy today.

Great quality, haven’t taken it out to distance yet but the 4 dot is nice.

Honestly, I feel like 5X is perfect for hog hunting at 100-200 yards in Texas and that is what I built this rifle for.

This is a great magnifier! Crystal clear, added a unity mount and it’s perfect
